"Housed Landscape" is an exploration of abstracted landscapes contained within the confines of walls. This work serves as a metaphor for the limitations imposed on nature by industrial structures. The walls, while seemingly protective, symbolize the barriers that separate us from the natural world and reflect the struggles nature faces to thrive. Upon opening the book we allow the landscape to breathe. Highlighting the balance and harmony that can be achieved when barriers are dismantled and ecosystems flourish freely.

As an artist who primarily focuses on landscapes, my work is heavily influenced by the passage of time. My approach involves incorporating layers that capture the ever-changing world around me, which is characterized by fleeting moments of light, movement, activity, and focus.
The piece I created is a collage of multiple vantage points in Portland that I photographed. It reflects the changing temperature and time across different periods of my life. While creating this piece, I was determined to capture the spirit of a this building that continually reminds me of my momentary feelings.
During the creative process, I realized how frequently this building had appeared in my photos, captivating my attention through its unique light or energy. Each vantage point narrates its own story and when combined with the others it illustrates how we evolve, overlapping one another and standing strong on our own.

Time & Temperature, group show
May 2024- April 2025
The theme for this show is Time & Temperature. While most Portlanders know the iconic building of the same name, time and temperature are also measurements describing our current state of being through snapshots of our shared environment. When time and temperature are plotted alongside each other, stories begin to emerge—of a changing climate, evolving city landscapes, generational relationships, or something else altogether—the interpretations are endless!

"Surroundings" at the Maine Art Gallery explored how artists interpret their surroundings. The exhibit featured work by four artists who responded to the theme of "surroundings". The artists explored ideas that went beyond the physicality of their environment. The artists expressed the observed world, as well as the circumstances, conditions, and objects that surround them
