I love bringing my paints with me into the outdoors and finding new locations or ones to always go back to. I have returned again and again to Monhegan Island, ME for the past 5 years. This island has the energy and inspiration of artists, current and past.
When you paint in the outdoors the world changes around you, you have to capture an essence of what you see and feel. When I am in this moment I feel fully present and get lost in time, hence art is my own form of meditation.
